The main event tournament series consists of nine no-limit Texas Hold'em (NLH) tournaments held on the last Saturday of each month starting in January of a given year. Points will be awarded for main event tournaments based on each player's finishing position and accumulated throughout the season. Points are assigned using our points algorithm. Each league member's top five points scores will be calculated at the end of the season and the top 4-7 winners will get awarded prizes.
Buy-Ins
The buy-in for the nine regular-season monthly tournaments is 50 units. The starting chip stack given to each player will be 5,000 chips.
Rebuys
Each player can rebuy once in the tournament if they lose all their chips before the first break which is after 4 rounds of play. The decision to re-buy must be made immediately after being knocked out. The tournament clock will continue to run if a player busts out during play.
Blind Structure
For each regular-season tournament, a player will start with 5,000 chips. Blind levels according to the schedule below will increment every 20 minutes. Breaks will be 5 minutes long and occur every 60 minutes of play.
Payout Structure
A minimum of 5 people are required for league tournaments. In the event less than 5 people have confirmed for that game, the game will be canceled and rescheduled later.
A "multi-table tournament" (or MTT as it is also called) is a tournament in which multiple tables of players play down to just one table, where a winner will eventually be crowned. MTTs will be available to league and non-league players and the number of seats will be limited by the number of tables available. Payout information, blind structure, the number of tables, and the number of seats per table (among other information) will always be listed in the tournament info on the game server. Buy-ins, chip stacks, blind levels, and round time limits vary between tournaments. Always check the tournament information on the game server.
Sit and Go tournaments (SNGs) are online poker tournaments that start when a preset number of players have signed up. SNGs can vary greatly in the number of players, the amount of time blind levels last, prize distribution, buy-in size, and more. Always check the tournament information for details.
A shootout poker tournament is a multi-table tournament in which players separately play down to a single winner on each table, then the winners advance to the next round so on.
This is a common tournament structure for heads up bracket style tournaments.
